De Beren Gieren (Cd-release)

THIRD ALBUM ONE MIRRORS MANY

Following several exploits on the Handelsbeurs Concert Hall stage, De Beren Gieren are welcomed with their new album. One mirrors many ponders on the ever chaotic reality. The ambiguities of everyday life and fantasies about the grass on the other side, there is plenty of inspiration for pianist Fulco Ottervanger and his innovative gang.

Fulco Ottervanger (piano), Lieven Van Pee (bass), Simon Segers (drums)

SUPPORT: SCHNTZL

This duo met each other in their early teens and never stopped playing together since. This results in a wide range of original compositions in which sections alternate between free improvisation and strictly composed music. In 2014, they were the winners of STORM! Contest in Ostend.

“A surprising, juicy sound and an original instrumentation with a crispy layer of enthusiasm, that is SCHNTZL”
