Referring to Daniil Trifonov, the legendary pianist Martha Argerich told the Financial Times in 2011: “It’s also his touch - he has tenderness and also the demonic element. I never heard anything like that.” In his rendition of many compositions, the very young virtuoso pianist makes the competition look pale in comparison, and has now signed an exclusive contract with Deutsche Grammophon for his recordings.
