D-A-D

The Danish D-A-D (Disneyland After Dark) emerged in the early 1980s as a reaction to the prevailing pessimism in punk music. The foursome launched their own music genre: 'cowpunk', and made a healthy dose of irony their trademark. Over the years, the success and fan base grew far beyond the country's borders. Although D-A-D's albums are all good, they never surpassed the band's live reputation. The cowpunk genre evolved into rock, but the irony and fun remained a constant. Hits like 'Won't cut my hair' have become commonplace. Today D-A-D is a heavyweight in international rock, a resounding name on the biggest festival posters and can now finally be seen live in Ghent.

SUPPORT: NEEDLE AND THE PAIN REACTION

Needle And The Pain Reaction stands for energy. We no longer need to convince anyone who once saw them work live. The group started in 2000 and has its home base in the Ghent underground club Kinky Star. Their first full CD 'Obsessions of an epic womanizer' was released in 2004. In October 2006 the second CD 'Pheromone' was released. In March 2006, Needle And The Pain Reaction opened for legendary guitarist Chris Spedding in Toronto. Their new album 'Stains' will be available in stores at the beginning of 2010.
