Claire Chevallier (pianoforte), Joris Verdin (harmonium) & Stefaan Degand (bas-bariton)

Just like last season, pianist Claire Chevallier is putting together a concert evening for the Handelsbeurs based on her personal artistic preferences. The result is a stage filled with no fewer than four keyboards. Chevallier's passion for instruments that add timbre to the standard instruments is the common thread throughout this program. For example, because of the color she chooses to use the pianoforte, harmonium and harmonica and works together with Joris Verdin. Verdin studied organ and musicology and enjoys an international reputation as a specialist in 19th-century harmonium literature. Stefaan Degand takes care of the voting part. He graduated from Studio Herman Teirlinck in 2003 and has previously performed recitals by Mozart and Brahms. In this fascinating program, better-known work byFranck, Saint-Saëns and Bizet forms a suitable framework around music to be discovered by Guilmant, Lefébure-Wely, Mustel and Widor
