Pianist Claire Chevallier and violist Paul De Clerck choose music that harks back to music with works by Reger, Hindemith, Britten, Stravinski and Kris Defoort (creation!). to the musical past. Composers can honor their old colleagues through personally colored tributes, but they can also edit, quote, copy or reinterpret existing compositions. Whether or not all these methods are musically 'responsible', or whether they belong in the composer's study rather than in the concert hall, or whether they teach anything, these are questions that largely have to be answered by the audience.
