According to aficionados, Portuguese singer Carminho is the next big thing in fado. The daughter of Teresa Siqueira – one of the greatest singers in the genre – achieved platinum with her first record, entitled Fado, which put her in the same league as legendary artists Amália, Mariza and Cristina Branco, for instance. With the release of her critically acclaimed sophomore album Alma, Carminho is ready to conquer Belgium as well.
