Canzoniere Grecanico Salentino: 'Tarantela'

The inhabitants of the old Italy danced as if their lives depended on it. Literally, because during holy ceremonies in Salento, they used to cure dangerous spider bites with the pulsating Tarantella. The Italian band Canzoniere Grecanico Salentino, has reworked their legacy for a stunning revival with a contemporary twist. They celebrate their 40th anniversary with their new album Quaranta.

Mauro Durante (violin), Maria Mazzotta (voice), Massimiliano Morabito (accordion), Giulio Bianco (bagpipe), Silvia Perrone (dance), Giancarlo Paglialunga (tamburello)
