'Blind Date Mini' is an interactive concert for and by DKO music classes following the 'Blind Date' concert with Ictus on January 31, 2013. Students from various academies are prepared to perform a short piece of contemporary music. The preparation for this concert is done in the utmost secrecy, because no one in the audience is allowed to know what is on the program. The purpose of this secrecy - no program booklet is made - is to introduce the audience to new music uninhibitedly and without prejudice. In this way the listener is in danger of loving what he does not know, or does not like, or vice versa. Musically there are no limitations: improvisation, own composition, rock-solid repertoire, acoustic or purely electronic, everything is possible. Klara presenter Evita Nossent leads us from one piece to the next, but also gathers reactions from the concert audience in between.
Participating music academies: Deinze (teacher: Katrijn Friant), Ghent (Elisa Medinilla), Gentbrugge ( Frederik Croene), Leuven (Jasper Vanpaemel), Oud-Heverlee (Kim Van den Brempt) and Sint-Niklaas (Pieter Matthynsens).
