Billie King

Music lovers will remember Tine Reymer as the singer of 'Flowers for Breakfast', the Antwerp group that made waves in the 1990s. But theater and television viewers have also been unable to ignore Tine in recent years. Yet music remained her first love. Reymer founded an 'all female' band with Billie King: Isolde Lasoen (Daan, Skeemz, Briskey) on the drums, Sara Gilis (Eva De Roovere) behind the keys, Chantal Willie (Zap Mama) plays bass and Nele De Gussem guitar. Don't expect good listening songs, these women have spirit. A dream cocktail of charm, solid rock with a jaunty pop stamp on it, a beautiful voice and excellent musicians. The music was composed with the greatest care and shows craftsmanship, but still sounds very fresh. To say that Billie King will be the next PJ Harvey might be a bold move. But the chase is well underway! The group has now completed its first CD, which will be released in October.
