Bert Joris Quartet feat. Dado Moroni

The Belgian trumpeter/composer Bert Joris is one of the most versatile and talented jazz musicians in Europe. He started his career as a trumpeter with the BRT Jazz Orchestra and also developed into an important composer/arranger and conductor. He made waves as leader of the Bert Joris Quartet and as a teacher, including at the Swiss Jazz School in Bern. The current highlight of his work as a composer and arranger is the CD 'Dangerous Liaison', a live recording of his compositions by the Royal Flemish Philharmonic and the Brussels Jazz Orchestra. In 2007 the CD 'Magone' was released. The compositions are largely by him and give the quartet - with the unsurpassed Dado Moroni on piano - time and again the space to explore new paths. The members of the ensemble have a long-standing artistic relationship; it is an organic unit that speaks its own language and radiates fun from playing.
