Auryn Quartett (strijkkwartet)

UNGLÜCKLICHE LIEBE

A dramatic love life did not prevent Beethoven producing an unusually strong quartet in 1799, his opus 18 no. 1. In the course of more than three decades Bartók composed just six quartets. His love was not always requited either, which is sublimated in his first, late romantic and folkloric tinted quartet. The other grand master of the quartet genre, Brahms, treats us to melodic invention, harmonic texture and structural perfection.
