Fadista António Zambujo has the utmost respect for tradition, but enriches it with influences from cante alejentano or the polyphonic a cappella choral music. He is immensely popular and received the Amália Rodrigues award in 2006. His rich and sophisticated voice interprets the saudade, specific to fado, quite masterfully.
