An Evening with Roger McGuinn

Who says Roger McGuinn, says The Byrds. This American counterpart of The Rolling Stones and The Beatles made many music hearts beat faster in the 1960s. The formation became best known to the general public through their version of Bob Dylan's 'Mr. Tambourine Man', with which they definitively put the folk rock genre on the map. Officially the band ceased to exist in 1973 and since then McGuinn has followed his own path, which almost immediately brought him back to his folk roots. This resulted in five solo albums in five years and ten more have now been added. His album 'Treasures From The Folk Den' was nominated for a Grammy in 2002 in the category 'Best Traditional Folk Album'.
