American Music Club

American Music Club was founded in 1982 by Mark Eitzel. His love for rock, country, blues, folk, pop and punk resulted in a unique and endearing musical melting pot. Eitzel's mysterious appearance, sincere voice and brilliant lyrics stood out even more in addition to the original sound of guitarist Vudi. The band's live shows oscillated between quiet acoustic moments and ripping guitars. The dynamics of The Bad Seeds or The Bunnymen at their best.

American Music Club played with Bob Dylan, Pearl Jam > andThe Bad Seeds, but split in the mid-'90s. A tribute album was subsequently released, 'Come on Beautiful', on which Calexico, Lambchop, M Ward, Willard Grant, Steve Wynn and Chris & Carla perform covers of AMC songs. When heavyweights such as Coldplay, Radiohead, REM and Pearl Jam openly proclaimed their love for American Music Club, a reunion was inevitable. Their latest album, 'The Golden Age', is fresh on the shelves. On the record, American Music Club, with a new rhythm section, explores their softer, melancholic side.

Under the name Blaudzun, named after a unknown Danish cyclist, Johannes Sigmond worked on a special collection of songs in 2007. It would become a soundtrack for nighttime drives. According to 3voor12, "Blaudzun's sober arrangements and dreamy songs will never let you go". Concertgoers and listeners compare the music to artists such as Ane Brun, Arcade Fire and Ryan Adams. Blaudzun is assisted by his brother Jakov on guitar and lap steel and Michiel van Elk on accordion. His self-titled debut album is now on the shelves. Enjoy what Blaudzun himself describes as "atmospheric music that takes you away to another place or where you can temporarily crawl away."
