Fulco Ottervanger is a musician like no other: a sonic chameleon, an inexhaustible wellspring of ideas, a virtuoso jazz pianist, and a musical storyteller. In recent years, he has gained fame for his Dutch-language songs. “Wonderkind,” “Grote broer,” “Blijf maar zitten,” and “Een beetje verfrommeld” found their way to a wide audience through the radio and concert halls. In these songs, Fulco combines poetic lyrics with a unique pop sound, somewhere between cabaret, synth-pop, and dreamy piano music. 

With the intimate Ohrwurm, Fulco continues to build on this series of Dutch-language songs, but this time for a young audience. He takes the stage solo with a mix of new and old songs, a guitar, and a keyboard. Once again, we hear the Fulco we know from Zonzo Compagnie’s brilliant *Slumberland*. Who knows—maybe the Sandman, the Sleep Professional, and Little Dark Man will get a sequel—more than 10 years after their creation…
