African Diva's Night

Two African divas will fill the Handelsbeurs stage tonight! The ladies bring a catchy and often extremely danceable mix of African pop and traditional music. Sometimes silent, sometimes in 'full swing' they sing the stars from heaven.

Yinka Adesina's music is a mix of jazz, soul, funk and Afrobeat, firmly rooted in her native Nigeria. With her sultry voice she effortlessly captivates her listeners.

Next, the South African diva Busi Mhlongo will showcase her talents. A remarkable singer who puts her soul and body into her songs. Her music floats between various South African music styles such as mbaganga and maskada and contemporary jazz, funk, rock, gospel and rap. In short, this lady makes music beyond category!
