SUWI has an appealing and sensitive energy. They keep it simple with nimble melodies and casual grooves and overwhelm you with fire and silence. Think Jimi Hendrix and Connan Mockasin. The release of their third album "Playing for Oscar" is scheduled for spring 2024. Cyriel Vandenabeele (guitar), Elias Devoldere (drums), Mattias Geernaert (bass)
Keith Canvas (albumrelease) - Hot-blooded vocals and piano jazzHe comes to introduce his new album, "Imposter Syndrome. His special vibrato voice, style and presence are reminiscent of such stars as Jamie Cullum, Gregory Porter, Ray Charles and even Al Green. Groovy pop meets jazz meets soul.
Jules & Gents
Jules & Gents is a young and energetic jazz quartet from Ghent, Belgium. The band is known for their love of swing and their playful and unpredictable arrangements of old standards. They have created a unique and captivating sound that is both playful and accessible. Their live performances are a real treat, bringing their music to life with infectious energy and enthusiasm. Julie Honorez (vocals), Elias d'Hooge (keys), Zjef Van Steenbergen (double bass), Tom Peeters (drums)
AYATARU
AYATARU is the world created by drummer/producer Thijs van Scharen. He blends his love of beats and deep grooves with influences ranging from UK breakbeat and LA's avant-garde hip-hop scene to IDM and spiritual jazz. All wrapped in rich textures and warm sounds. Capturing the moment as it comes and creating new worlds where head nodding and dancing come together with deep thought within. This collage, where each composition is a different scene, a different vibration, can be seen as a movie - through which the listener is guided and can create his own story. Ee (EWI, saxophone, bass clarinet), Alexis Boone (keys), Sander Huys (bass), Thijs van Scharen (drums).
