What a year
The 2024–25 concert season is almost over, bringing us many wonderful moments. It's time to look back. From intimate solos to energetic bands and surprising combinations to familiar audience favourites, the music took over and connected us all. The halls were packed and the stage buzzed with energy. Bring on more of that!
Those who soared to great heights ♥
We enjoyed everything from the international star Vijay Iyer to sizzling dance nights featuring Cuban jazz from El Comité. There are American crooner vibes at The White Buffalo and the modern bossa nova of Dora Morelenbaum. There was the premiere of the children's concert by our housemates, Mais Quelle Chanson; and saxophonist Lakecia Benjamin proved that she can blow a mountain away with her playing.
There were sultry grooves from Altin Gün and a heartwarming moment of solidarity with Gaza during Eye on Palestine. Gabriel Ríos fully explored his Spanish roots; Naima Joris had the BJO simmering with nostalgia; Sungazer gave a masterclass and got music students dancing; and Ibelisse Guardia Ferragutti effortlessly enchanted the audience. Macy Gray also stopped by. Soon, we will ritually close our season during De Kortste Nacht.
And so much more!
