This concert is part of the Baloise on Stage series. Through this, insurance company Baloise supports homegrown talent.
On February 9, 2000, Klaas Delrue, Geert Noppe and Maarten Van Mieghem won the Interfaculty Song Contest at KU Leuven. At that time still as Evguenie Sokolov, after Serge Gainsbourg's slightly funny instrumental of the same name. First prize: a support slot at the Student Welcome on the Old Market. They look at each other and all three think the same thing: "We're off!"
The sequel is nothing less than a childhood dream that continues for a quarter of a century. The trio quickly became a quintet and gradually built a rock-solid live reputation. On their resume: 7 studio albums. 3 times gold. Approximately 100,000 copies sold. 4 MIA nominations. 1 Flemish Culture Prize for Music. 750 concerts. Too many singles for a Best Of, and so on.
Celebrating a quarter of a century of Yevgueni as exuberantly as possible means, of course, a club tour along the most beautiful locations in the country. With a band in party mood and in top form. And a setlist with nothing but greatest hits, band favorites and fan favorites. We think you definitely want to be there!
