Shot of adrenaline
The Soft Moon is the band around multi-instrumentalist Luis Vasquez. The apocalyptic 2012 debut album The Soft Moon immediately hit like a bomb. "Imposing and stark, the Soft Moon's Captured Tracks debut is impressively bathed in the tension and gloom of the industrial and goth 1980s," says Pitchfork (8.1/10).
With solid splashes of industrial, wave and post-punk, the music is reminiscent of the best of Nine Inch Nails, The Cure, Joy Division and Bauhaus. On later, rock-solid albums like Deeper and Criminal Vasquez continued to experiment and surprise.
New album Exister
The Soft Moon is now announcing a tour to unleash their brand new album Exister on humanity. We were already presented with the lead single "Him" and it tastes like more. The latest effort - a powerful, yet vulnerable therapeutic record - will be released on September 23.
And that on the great Sacred Bones Records, with artists such as Amen Dunes, Blanck Mass, Föllakzoid, Jenny Hval and Jim Jarmusch a beacon of quality for years.
Live, The Soft Moon guarantees a sledgehammer blow, an adrenaline rush you'll want to experience again and again.
