A bomb of energy
For two decades, The Bad Plus have been blowing away all the major jazz and rock festivals. If they can be pigeonholed, it's as one of groundbreaking sound and pure creative guts. They change course with a new piano-less formation and the addition of guitarist Ben Monder and Chris Speed on tenor sax.
The Bad Plus are known for their bridging of genres and techniques. They have given new punch to such primal songs as Smells Like Teen Spirit by Nirvana, Karma Police by Radiohead and even Le Sacre du Printemps by Stravinsky. The change in line-up has already opened new doors.
