First gripping solo album

Ruben Block has been the frontman and driving composer of Triggerfinger since 1998. The album was recorded over a period of four years, both in Block's home studio in Antwerp and in the studio of producer Mitchell Froom (Elvis Costello, Crowded House, Randy Newman) in Los Angeles. It became a cut-and-paste patchwork of ripping and mutilated guitars, looped drum grooves and surprising soundscapes.

The brand new single Turning On A Fan is the perfect proof of this. A hip-hop groove asks a huge guitar riff to dance and Block's dark voice calls you to order. The song creaks and squeaks, but stays firmly on both feet.
