Sparkling song cycle around master poets

Kris Defoort & Veronika Harcsa: 'Pieces of Peace' (album release)

For his new song cycle, Belgian pride Kris Defoort once again joins forces with Hungarian singer Veronika Harcsa, one of the most beautiful and clear voices. Good for melancholic and sparkling musical reflections on poems by Peter Verhelst, Roethke and Pessoa, among others.

With Lode Vercampt on cello, Jean-Philippe Poncin on clarinets and Benjamin Sauzereau on guitar, three inspired musicians join the duo.

Good for colorful music where improvised compositions mingle with composed improvisations, and the human voice presents itself in all its facets.

Julien Tassin solo: 'primitiv'

Belgian guitarist Julien Tassin built an expressive oeuvre around constant exploration and idiosyncratic originality. Between minimal, blues, ambient, rock and jazz, he searches for raw uncompromising emotion. On his third solo album primitiv, he illuminates human existence in its most primitive and essential form.

With a penchant for strong, lyrical melodies and cinematic themes, Tassin creates a language and musical universe all his own. Whether solo, in trio or with his rock band SOFA, the inexhaustible urge to push boundaries and a search for the essence is the common thread.
