Eliades Ochoa: 'Celebrating 25 years of Buena Vista Social Club'

The Cuba of Buena Vista Social Club

The Cuba of Buena Vista Social Club

Anyone thinking of traditional Cuban music cannot ignore Eliades Ochoa. As one of the most renowned 'soneros', he has been stringing together gold and platinum albums. Eliades is one of Buena Vista Social Club's five stars. He pays tribute to their 25-year existence with a return to their legendary songs.

Because of his often black clothes and characteristic cowboy hat, Ochoa has also been called "the Cuban Johnny Cash". Just as iconic, but in his virtuoso guitar playing with rhythms like son cubano, bolero, guaracha and trova, the sun always shines.
