A visual symphony full of poetry

I am Farnoosh.
I live in a house,
at the foot of a mountain,
where the air is filled with stories
and my mother's music swells the walls.

I am Farnoosh.
Small in stature, fiery in nature.
Sitting still is not for me. My hands, my feet, my thoughts - everything wants to move forward.
People look, whisper, shake their heads.
But that's how I am: always wild, never calm and sometimes strong-willed.

I am Farnoosh.
My room overlooks two worlds:
the colossal mountain that stands like a sentinel outside my window
and the steel birds that have been flying by for some time.
I often look outside,
I see more and more dark clouds gathering against my harmonious harbour.
Each time the clouds gather ominously,
my family and I flee the storm,
waiting for a softer breeze
before returning to our big city.

Meet Farnoosh

In this poetic and musical narrative, a small but fiery girl balances between her roots in Iran and the changing world around her. In the midst of a tumultuous time in Iran, she struggles with questions of identity and belonging.

Farnoosh Khodadadeh tells her story with heart and soul. Together with the live music and illustrations on stage, it all blends into a visual symphony. A performance that will touch audiences young and old - with music as the universal echo of the human heart.
