Groovy funk
Less than a year after the dark ballads on Lucy, Gregory Frateur and his companions come knocking on the door with the cosmopolitan Loose Ends. Their ninth long playing record chooses an upbeat spectrum, with angular funk and bouncy disco pop.
With Loose Ends, the emphasis is more than ever placed on rhythm and groove. Perhaps newest band member Karel De Backer and his drums have something to do with that. Dez Mona's recognizable sound is accompanied by extensive instrumental passages, with glowing roles for piano and electronics.
