Amsterdam-based Altın Gün have already blazed a glorious trail with their Turkish psych-folk. In their now familiar uplifting mix, they fuse psychedelic rock, funk, synthpop and cosmic reggae with the rich traditions of Anatolian folk music. It earned them a 2019 Grammy nomination for Best World Music Album. On Istanbul Ekspres, they play their latest album (2023) "Aşk", returning to their musical roots.
The album features ten reworked Turkish folk songs recorded with vintage equipment. On it, they hark back to the Anatolian folk-rock of the 1970s that you could hear on their first records, with the difference that they are now going through life as a five-piece band. Don't worry, they haven't lost the intoxicating vibes and grooves!

Especially for this night DJ Fallujah pulls his Turkish and Oriental grooves and curiosities out of the record closet. From belly dance floor bangers to Anatolian hippie sounds and everything in between.
InSein Radio is the radio and DJ collective of vinyl junkies and music globetrotters Siggy Ztardust and Fallujah. Since 2010, they have been shaking up the online audio world with their weekly radio show, starting from the modest radio studio Villa Bota in Bruges. Their show has also been broadcast for some time on Istanbul-based Turkish Radio Zula.
