What happens when Belgian sitar player Nicolas Mortelmans crawls into the studio with none other than Stef Kamil Carlens, Simon Segers, Tim Vanhamel and Roland van Campenhout? Enough to keep you on the edge of your seat. From intense and deeply meditative to explosive, the new album 'Space' will take you on a psychedelic trip.
Nicolas Mortelmans studies sitar with the likes of Anoushka Shankar and conquers hearts and stages. His debut album MĀYĀ (2024, WERF Records) was a hit. For his second release on Rotkat Records, he returns to his roots of psychedelic rock, ambient, funk and jazz.
He surrounds himself well with his 'improvisation collective' with an edge. The result is a unique encounter on stage with raw, spontaneous and honest music.

We know Anneleen Boehme as a virtuoso of LABtrio and the inspirational composer of Grand Picture Palace. Now, she is alone on stage in a pure dialogue with her faithful companion, the double bass.
In her solo project, Eunoia, Boehme explores the rich soundscape of the double bass. There are no frills: just the warm, low tones of wood and strings, carried by compositions that she wrote or reworked herself. Blending improvisation, jazz and classical elements, she tells a story that is as personal as it is universal — one that explores vulnerability, peace, and the beauty of thinking and feeling.
Eunoia means 'beautiful spirit'. This music embodies exactly that: benevolence, comfort and a rich, sonorous bridge between the head and the heart.
