Raymond de Veger, the owner of the renowned De Veger brush factory, sets off for the distant land of Vulkania, where a great volcano has erupted. His mission is to sweep up all the dust, and he takes 2,000 brushes with him. When another eruption occurs, he is buried under the dust and never found again. His young daughter, Billie, is left alone with the large factory and its many brushes.
But how can a little girl run such a big brush factory? Alone? No — she gets help from some special friends: Mr Musician, Mrs Designer of Brushes and Other Sweeping Stuff, and... monsters, lots of monsters!
